Molossia Set to Attend MicroCon 27
It’s locked in. President Kevin Baugh of Molossia—the man, the myth, the walking flag—along with the First Lady, will descend upon both chapters of MicroCon 27: San Diego and Aigues-Mortes. That’s right. Two continents. Same weird and wonderful circus.
This will be the seventh time the tribe assembles. What started in Anaheim in 2015—Baugh’s idea, by the way—has grown into a globetrotting summit of self-declared nobility, unrecognized borders, and enough medals to make a four-star general blush. Stops over the years have included places like Tucker (Georgia), Joliet (Illinois), Hamilton (Ontario), Las Vegas, and Montreal. Each time, the map gets weirder—and better.

What makes it special, according to Baugh? Not the pageantry. Not the uniforms. Not the endless declarations of sovereignty. It’s the people—the young micronational dreamers and their beautiful, improbable visions of what a country could be. “It’s inspirational and refreshing,” he says. And somehow, you believe him.
2027 isn’t just big—it’s continental. While San Diego brings the sunshine and border-hopping adventures, Aigues-Mortes offers something older, moodier, and far more medieval. “Our city has seen crusades, sieges, and now—micronationalists in full regalia,” says Prince Jean-Pierre, host of MicroCon 27: EU. “You won’t just attend a conference. You’ll walk the same cobbled streets where kings once marched. This isn’t a sideshow. It’s history with epaulettes.”

We asked First Lady Adrianne Baugh to name her most unforgettable MicroCon moment. Without skipping a beat, she said it was Slowjamastan in Vegas. In her words: “They took a mostly serious learning convention and spun it into a rock concert event. There were many memorable presentations over the years, but none left us eyes wide, mouth agape in unbelievable awe of what just happened.
But it’s the European chapter that has President Baugh buzzing. Aigues-Mortes—ancient walls, narrow streets, and a different breed of micronationalist. One less likely to show up in a cape, more likely to hand you a printed constitution in triplicate. “Aigues-Mortes will be even more special,” Baugh says. “We’ll see folks we never get to meet in North America.”
First time going? President Baugh’s advice: bring your flag, wear your sash, polish up that national anthem. You’ll be shaking hands, swapping stories, maybe walking away with ideas that’ll make your little nation a little stronger.
The First Lady adds, “MicroCon attendees can expect to get a few days of mingling and conversation with other micronational leaders, opening their minds to new ways of doing things, and a real sense of belonging when they leave. It also shows their parents and themselves that they’re not alone in their different style of thinking and wanting to live their lives in a unique type of way.”
Early bird prices are live…for now. Seats will vanish. MicroCon 27 isn’t just an event—it’s a passport stamp into the wild frontier of imagination.
