Aigues-Mortes, France
“Je Vois la Vie en Rosé (I See Life in Pink)”
MicroCon 27 EU lands in Aigues-Mortes, France—a walled medieval town where salt meets sea, and history oozes from every stone. This isn’t just a backdrop; it’s a whole mood. Cobbled streets, pink salt flats, and cafés that haven’t changed in centuries—this place forces you to slow down, sip something local, and listen. It’s gritty and gorgeous, ancient and alive. If you’re gonna gather the world’s quirkiest leaders and dreamers, do it somewhere that knows a thing or two about sovereignty, rebellion, and good wine. Aigues-Mortes isn’t just a destination—it’s the main character.

Salt, Stone, and Slow Sips: How to Do Aigues-Mortes Right…
Get Lost on Purpose
Wander side streets with no map, no agenda. The town will tell you where to go. Or not. That’s the magic..
Walk the Damn Walls
13th-century stone ramparts circle the town like a medieval hug. Climb up, stroll the perimeter, and soak in views of salt flats, sea breezes, and centuries of stubbornness.
Sip Something Local
Find a café in the square, order a glass of rosé or a Ricard, and just… sit. Watch life roll by at a pace that laughs at your Google Calendar.
Salt of the Earth
Tour the legendary pink salt marshes. Learn how fleur de sel is harvested, then buy some like you’re suddenly a Michelin chef.
Eat Like You Mean It
Duck confit. Bull stew. Oysters that taste like the sea slapped you. This is not the place for dieting or ordering “just a salad.”

The Venue
This isn’t some fluorescent-lit purgatory next to a highway roundabout. This is Salle L’Oustaou—a venue with bones, with soul. Nestled inside the stone embrace of old Aigues-Mortes, where Crusader walls still stand guard and time drips slower than a glass of chilled rosé. It’s the kind of place that doesn’t need to scream authenticity—it is authentic.
